Spooked
Gothic Horror/Psychodrama

"Shot through with the same bone-freezing, damp atmospherics that mildew the very best English occult chillers. A genuinely creepy little treat."
Alan Moore

"Does not disappoint at all, delivering on all levels. A true original."
Immelda Alty, Broken Frontier

Emily Spook has a ghost living in her head.

Yes, it's odd, but she's learnt to live with it. She moved far away from her family a long time ago, to London, and changed her name so no-one could find her. She makes her living as a fine artist, a field where her eccentricity is forgiven. No-one in London knows of her past. No-one knows the local priest exorcised her when she was nine because her parents thought she was possessed.

No-one knows.

There's just one problem: right now, for the first time since she was seven, Emily's head has no guest. And it's giving her the worst case of artist's block. Emily never thought she'd miss the feeling. More than once, she's wished she wasn't special: that she didn't have to share her head with dead people. But now that Emily has her wish, she can't work. And she can't tell anyone why.

So when a recently-dead magician called Simon finds his way into Emily's head, she thinks that things will be okay again. Until she discovers that he was murdered by a ruthless, mysterious trio - and that the other six members of Simon's coven are dying, one by one.

Being special might just be the death of Emily.
